Fiber

 

Part of the reason I went into the business of selling spinning wheels is a love of all things having to do with fiber.  I started knitting as a young girl and have been in love with yarn ever since.  As an adult I learned the magic of making my own yarn and my knitting and my life have changed irrevocably in ways both small and too enormous to name!  One of the joys of spinning is the feel of wonderful fibers in your hands.  Another is the ability to choose just the right fiber to make just the right yarn for the project you can see in your imagination and in your heart.

 

We have gathered an amazing selection of wonderful fibers for you to choose from. We have everything from natural colored wools to exotic Guanaco and Vicuna, lustrous natural silks to soy, corn and bamboo "silks",  cotton and hemp to recycled plastic bags (Ecospun). Our natural fibers come from around the globe and are made available by Ashland Bay Trading Company,  Cotton Clouds, Foxglove Fiber Arts, Louet,  New World Textiles,  Peace of Yarn,  Sally Fox Cottons and  Southwest Trading Company.  We even have local Bay Area fleeces from Weaver's Oaks after each year's shearing.
